We join Knowledge in Zimbabwe, who has been successful in using new methods of farming thanks to The Salvation Army. Knowledge is now able to grow enough food to feed his family and even sell extra at the local market.
He is one of 300 farmers across three divisions in the Zimbabwe Territory who have received training in conservation agriculture, a method that emphasises the importance of working with the land to strengthen it rather than subdue it.
For families who rely on a successful harvest to survive, there is no safety net. A good crop is the difference between life and death. By adopting conservation agriculture, they can build a more sustainable future for themselves and their communities.
Money raised for the 2025 Helping-Hand Appeal will support international food security projects like this.
