The purpose of this series is a) to demonstrate how each map in the game have been carefully and brilliantly designed to be 100% winnable with wand start, and without using active items, b) to demonstrate how not using the active items opens whole another, entirely skill and strategy-based dimension to this beautiful classic game, and how it's not just techincally possible, impaired self-punishment mode, but I'm beating the with items-time record of each map (of YouTube) this way (and I'm not even speedrunning) so this is a legitimate new way of playing the old game, and c) to show how incredibly fun and challenging this game can be when not using the active items. Hopefully you find this series fun and interesting as well as inspiring; it would be cool if someone else started to play this game this way as well.

Note: this series was first fully uploaded few years back, without any practice for each map, resulting in very long game times and poor technical quality. I'm currently in the process of replaying the series with technical mindset and practice, in chronological order, so if you're watching the pre-2024 videos, expect to see much worse gameplay. The old version of the map will be removed from my videos as the new version is uploaded.

Ps. expect the E3M8 D'sparil's Keep to be the final map of this replaying process, against the chronology, as for me it is the real final map of the game, that comes after the E5M8 Field Of Judgement.
