What can I really say about Aphex's selected ambient works albums that would really do it the justice it deserves?! Volume 2 has been a staple in my musical life ever since the day I heard it. I have used it for my own personal meditation practices, it has been background to classes I have taught from time to time. The pieces on that album are masterfully done.

I arranged this when my Mandolin was getting some work done and I thought I wouldn't be able to get a cover done in time before it was fixed. I am happy I waited to record this one as my cello playing needed to marinate for a while longer, and the etherial timing that the song lives in took a minuet to set in. I had to learn how I could count it that would make sense to me. I feel like coming back to this one again as my cello playing improves and I am able to get more control of how I want the instrument to sing would be a really fun test of progress. Enjoy and I hope it is done well enough to get it placed on loop for some of you ;-) or at least it inspires a listen of the original linked below!
