Starting from Mowat Landing in August 2022 I set out to solo paddle a huge swathe of the Temagami backcountry over the course of nearly two weeks. It was a gruelling, humbling and spectacularly beautiful trip that took me through 175 km of the best scenery Temagami has to offer.
Part One of Deep Waters takes me from the big lake country up into a chain of pristine smaller lakes where the portaging is about as hard as it gets.
