Windsor is a historic market town in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, England. It is the site of Windsor Castle, one of the official residences of Queen Elizabeth II.
The original Windsor Castle was built in the 11th century after the Norman invasion of England by William the Conqueror.
Eton is a neighbouring town in Berkshire, England, on the opposite bank of the River Thames to Windsor, connected to it by Windsor Bridge. Eton College is its private school for boys. It was founded in 1440 by Henry VI and has educated prime ministers, world leaders, Nobel laureates, Academy Award and BAFTA award-winning actors, and generations of royalty.
