Classic Minis (Mk1, Mk2, Mk3, Cooper etc) at Gaydon 60th Anniversary Mini meeting

Mini photos! In 2019 a series of classic Mini events were held to celebrate 60 years of Issigonis' and BMC's pint-sized marvel. I headed down to the British Motor Museum at Gaydon with a friend in his very smart Mini (my ears are still recovering) to see what cars would turn up at their specially-organised event. All manner of Minis were present - from the earliest Mk1 to the final fuel-injected cars built in 2000, via Mk2, Mk3, Mk4 and so on, Clubman, base models, limited editions, Cooper, Cooper S, and various derivatives of the classic Mini line - including the GTM, Unipower, Mini Marcos, Riley Elf, Wolseley Hornet including the "Heinz 57" Crayford Convertible, Mini Moke and more. I was really surprised just how far some people had travelled with their Minis to attend this - and no doubt other - gathering(s) to celebrate the Mini's 60th anniversary. This video contains 110 photos taken at this event.

As well as saloons, a number of open-top, van, pickup and estate versions were also in evidence, joined by a special display of Minis within the British Motor Museum itself, and a gathering of Metros representing the car that would have taken over from the Mini, had the latter not continued to be a good seller despite advancing years.
