46115 'Scots Guardman's Severn Valley Railway Debut | Rail 200: Trains Through the Ages - 06/07/25

Ahead of the summer holidays, the Severn Valley Railway played host to their own Railway 200 festival, with LMS Rebuilt Royal Scot Class 46115 'Scots Guardsman' making her first visit to the line, running alongside members the railway's home fleet, including GWR 4930 'Hagley Hall', and recently returned to traffic 1400 Class Autotank 1450.

The event also saw the Railway 200 exhibition train "Inspiration" make its first public appearance ahead of a nationwide tour in the coming months, with the four converted Mk3 coaches sat in the platform at Kidderminster station, alongside prototype HydroFlex unit 799201, a former Class 319 converted to hydrogen fuel cell power, which was open for public viewing and guided tours.

Additionally for the weekend, narrow gauge locomotives 'Chaloner' and 'Holy War' would be displayed outside The Engine House at Highley, running footplate rides along a short demonstration line laid in the visitor centre's car park.
