Cutting metal or wood isn't a difficult task to perform with a laser. But making a perfect round circular cut is an excellent challenge sometimes! There are a few tests the machine must pass before being shipped out, and being capable of cutting a perfect circle is a must. A simple test: make a circle with a diameter of 25mm. After cutting, place the cutout back on the board and turn it. It should be very smooth. But if you feel some resistance in a specific location, usually two at most. Then it means your XY motors are not running with the same steps, or the XY gantry isn't straight and level.
