On the 5th of August, the Canterbury Railway Society ran a photographer's event to celebrate the centennial of the Otira Tunnel on the 4th of August, 1923.
The day started with a lineup of all the electric locomotives, some shunting, and Rm 51 running around. The day continued with vintage goods trains and passenger trains hauled by F 13 and Di 1102. By the afternoon, they were swapped out for Eo 3 and Ec 7.
