Quandary Peak, elevation 14,272’, is a popular choice for winter 14er summit due to easy trailhead access and low avalanche danger. I have done Quandary Peak before via both east and west ridge route in summer/fall. Climbing on skis in winter brought a different type of challenge, but the summit views were jaw dropping with snow capped peaks in every direction, and the ski descent was quite fun too. Total stats: 7 miles with 3400’ elevation gain
