The #lakedistrict looked awesome on the drive in. So we knew we would find a line. It was an alternative approach to #Helvellyn we were going to tackle.
I've been looking on google earth for years at Catstycam's gully. Thinking ....ooh. That would be great in winter. Well, it was! As usual, the winter is a tad sporadic. But we timed it well and a week of cold temperature got the hills ready.
We planned to just head up and see what looked best.
First possibility on #Catstycam
Nathan and I got a bit more powder than wed like, but Oh boy what a fun day, and fantastic conditions.
