I have had MS 20+ years. I am disabled to probably an 8 if you use that EDSS Scale. I cannot walk at all, and use a scooter exclusively since 2010. I can stand & pivot to transfer but cannot take a step. However, I had not been able to stand at all other than crouched over to transfer & my right arm/hand were about 80% useless prior to my 1st Lemtrada infusion.
It is my goal to inform other, more disabled MS'rs, possibly with progressive disease, of how this treatment could affect them, good or bad. In my case it's been much more good than bad. Best of luck to all my fellow Lemmies!!
This is just my experience dealing with my own MS challenges. I hope to bring awareness to what some with Multiple Sclerosis deal with on a daily basis. Keep Movin!!
