Among the ideas I wanted to follow through for this remake were mostly to try and keep a closer structure to the original theme. To be honest compared to a lot of my older arrangements the previous version held up alright comparatively speaking, but I did want to see how different I was gonna end up executing the theme as done today though. I think it is quite interesting how despite being rather cyclic, mokou’s theme can actually be rather engaging if done properly.
As for the art, I still kept mokou’s helltaker/car salesman suit. The actual reason its even like this is because the cover art is supposed to be a reference to this one peruvian cumbia band called Agua Marina. In all the cover arts and etc you get to see the musicians wearing suits and doing those sort of poses, thats why I went with it in the first place. But well, I did try to make the cover art look way more dynamic this time at least. Also ever since 2 years ago I found a better way to do the little surround to titles, I’m a lot happier with it than the previous version’s.
