This battle is pretty fun and fortunately you don't have to protect the ENTIRE Sun family, just Sun Jian. Orochi felt like he was stronger here too.
I don't believe Sun Ce doesn't know what cannons are by this point either given that he saw them at Sekigahara and knows Ieyasu, who uses a spear CANNON.
