1. CANTUS I — Psalmus 27:6–9

(Latin)
Benedictus Dominus,
quoniam exaudivit vocem deprecationis meae.
Dominus adiutor meus et protector meus;
in ipso speravit cor meum, et adiutus sum.

Et refloruit caro mea,
et ex voluntate mea confitebor ei.
Dominus fortitudo plebis suae,
et protector salvationum Christi sui est.

Salvum fac populum tuum, Domine,
et benedic hereditati tuae;
et rege eos, et extolle illos usque in aeternum.

(English)
Blessed be the Lord,
for He has heard the voice of my supplication.
The Lord is my helper and my protector;
in Him my heart has trusted, and I am helped.

My flesh has flourished again,
and with my will I will give Him thanks.
The Lord is the strength of His people
and the protector of the salvation of His anointed.

Save Your people, O Lord,
and bless Your inheritance;
and rule them and exalt them forever.

2. CANTUS II — Psalmus 62:2–7

Deus, Deus meus,
ad te de luce vigilo.
Sitivit in te anima mea,
quam multipliciter tibi caro mea.

In terra deserta et invia
et inaquosa sic apparui tibi
ut viderem virtutem tuam
et gloriam tuam.

Quoniam melior est misericordia tua super vitas,
labia mea laudabunt te.
Sic benedicam te in vita mea,
et in nomine tuo levabo manus meas.

O God, my God,
at dawn I keep watch for You.
My soul has thirsted for You;
how greatly my flesh longs for You.

In a desert land, pathless
and without water,
thus have I appeared before You
to behold Your power
and Your glory.

For Your mercy is better than life itself;
my lips shall praise You.
Thus will I bless You in my life,
and in Your name I will lift up my hands.

3. CANTUS III — Psalmus 103:1–6

Benedic, anima mea, Domino,
et omnia quae intra me sunt nomini sancto eius.
Benedic, anima mea, Domino,
et noli oblivisci omnes retributiones eius.

Qui propitiatur omnibus iniquitatibus tuis,
qui sanat omnes infirmitates tuas;
qui redimit de interitu vitam tuam,
qui coronat te in misericordia et miserationibus.

Qui replet in bonis desiderium tuum;
renovabitur ut aquilae iuventus tua.
Faciens misericordias Dominus,
et iudicium omnibus iniuriam patientibus.

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me, His holy name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and do not forget all His benefits:

Who forgives all your iniquities,
who heals all your infirmities;
who redeems your life from destruction,
who crowns you with mercy and compassion.

Who fills your desires with good things;
your youth shall be renewed like the eagle’s.
The Lord performs mercies
and justice for all who suffer injustice.

4. CANTUS IV — Psalmus 120:1–8

Levavi oculos meos in montes:
unde veniet auxilium mihi?
Auxilium meum a Domino,
qui fecit caelum et terram.

Non det in commotionem pedem tuum,
neque dormitet qui custodit te.
Ecce non dormitabit neque dormiet,
qui custodit Israel.

Dominus custodit te;
Dominus protectio tua super manum dexteram tuam.
Sol non uret te per diem,
neque luna per noctem.

Dominus custodit te ab omni malo;
custodiat animam tuam Dominus.
Dominus custodiat introitum tuum et exitum tuum,
ex hoc nunc et usque in aeternum.

I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains:
from where shall my help come?
My help is from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.

May He not let your foot be moved,
nor let Him slumber who keeps you.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord keeps you;
the Lord is your protection at your right hand.
The sun shall not burn you by day,
nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from every evil;
the Lord shall guard your soul.
The Lord shall guard your going out and your coming in,
from this time forth and forevermore.
