Tray fail-not by me-by expired product. But I saved it.

In this tutorial I am making a sea turtle tray from a mold from Temu. I am using Lets Resin casting resin, Baltic Day chameleon powder, Into Resin aurora chameleon powders and on first go round Castin Craft black pigment paste-second go round-Lets Resin black mica powder.
1st try: brushed the bottom portion of the mold, including the head and fins, excluding the shell, with the Baltic Day, then used the Into Resin aurora's on the shell. mixed up 8oz of resin and mixed in the castin craft black. filled the mold and let cure. after de-mold the finished tray had quite a few "open" bubbles and they were bleeding resin. I decided it had to be the Castin Craft, since I had this happen on previous projects.
2nd try: Repeated the process with the chameleon powders on the mold. This time after mixing the resin I decided to use Lets Resin black Mica powder, filled the mold and let cure. I turned out perfect. Came to the conclusion the my Castin craft was over a year old so must be expired.
The finish: in each cavity on the shell I added a holographic flower and a silver bead that went in the center, I put them down with UV resin. Then mixed up 3oz of resin and filled the cavity's and the bottom of the shell with the clear resin. Let cure. #resin #resinart
