Lexus RX350 Transaxle (Transmission/Differential) Drain and Fill | DIY How-To | Gen3 2008-2015

I changed the fluid in the transaxle of my 2013 Lexus RX350. For a 2 wheel front wheel drive SUV, the transmission is often combined with the front differential, creating the transaxle. After draining the original fluid, I refilled the system with new OEM transmission fluid. Following the Lexus procedure, I drained off the excess fluid after the transmission fluid reach the required temperature range. This drain and fill should be completed every 30K-50K miles to ensure a long life of your transmission. This procedure is identical for all Gen 3 models (2008-2015) and is likely very similar for other models and vehicles.
