Syaitan is a clear enemy to mankind, which is why Allah repeatedly warns us in the Quran to be cautious of his deceptions. The tactics he used to mislead our forefather, Adam A.S, are still being used today. Only now that they have become more refined. Syaitan’s approach is often subtle, bespoke and gradual, with one step leading to the next.
The first step for the believer in order to protect himself from syaitan is to acknowledge that syaitan is an enemy and to treat him as so. Allah says in Surah Fatir, “Surely syaitan is an enemy to you, so take him as an enemy. He only invites his followers to become inmates of the Blaze.”
