This is a quick video of me out at the Point Loma Kelp beds fishing on January 5th, 2025. I wanted to share a bit of my experience to date with these new to me Lures I've been fishing for 40-plus years and I fish a lot of styles and locations around the world and to date, I've never found lures as consistent and as effective as these Hook up baits soft plastic tube lures invented and manufactured here in San Diego California
I've landed a tone of Spotted Bay bass, Calico, and Sand bass on these lures as well as a bunch of California and Pacific Halibut including my Personal best a 33 inch 17 pounder on a 5/8oz Ice tandem rig, sadly I thought I had the camera running on that trip but I didn't hit record. Now over the last year, I've fished these lures from Shore, inshore, freshwater, and Saltwater and they always do a great job of finding the fish.
