Foundations Sermon Series Sermon 7: The Hope of Eternal Life (The Foundation of Future)

We have spent several weeks carefully laying the seven foundations of faith, all resting on the cornerstone, Jesus Christ.
We began with Identity, understanding who God is and who we are in Him.

We confronted our Need, seeing our helpless condition because of sin.

We celebrated the Solution, Jesus Christ, our one and only Mediator.

We rejoiced in His Victory through the Cross and Resurrection.

We found Assurance in salvation by grace through faith.

We learned to walk in Practice, living a transformed life.

Today, we come to the final foundation: The Hope of Eternal Life.
This truth answers the deep ache of every human heart: Where is all of this heading? What will the end of my story be?
Our hope as believers is not a vague wish, like hoping for good weather or a lucky break. Biblical hope is a confident expectation, a certainty guaranteed by the unchanging promises of God. This hope is the anchor that holds us steady through life’s storms (Hebrews 6:19).
When we fix our eyes on the future glory that awaits us, we gain the courage to endure trials, the strength to pursue holiness, and the urgency to live on mission today.
