Hey, so in this video I demonstrate how to replace the dipstick tube or funnel. When I was repairing my alternator I broke my dipstick tube while removing the metal bracket. This should be a very similar process on most VW, Audi and Seat 1.8T engines. The dipstick tube on VW/Audi do seem to be a bit of a weak point. They become brittle and easily brake on the older engines which have done a few miles. This is quite a simple repair if you don’t mine doing a bit yourself. You don’t really need many tools, a 5mm Allen key, Philips head screwdriver and pair of plyers. Enjoy and good luck.
