Talk Title: The aged immune system - a central driver of ageing
Janet Lord, Director at the Institute for Inflammation and Ageing, University of Birmingham, presents at Investing in the Age of Longevity 2021. In her talk, Janet describes some of the key changes that occur to the immune system with advancing age, and their impact on health in old age. She also discusses how targeting the processes that compromise the immune system has benefits for common infections, can improve vaccination responses, but also holds promise for reducing the overall ageing process.
