Making slow progress with calisthenics? Don't get frustrated - there are loads of reasons why this might be happening.

Training doesn't always go smoothly. Sometimes, it feels like you take one step forward and two steps back when training calisthenics skills. But it's important to remember that this is normal. It happens to the best of us; from beginners to advanced calisthenics, everyone who trains experiences highs and lows in their training.

I used to drive me crazy when I was training for a skill and I'd be weaker than the last time I trained it. I'd think "HOW has this happened!? I've been training this skill for the last 3 weeks, how can I be WORSE at it now??" It didn't make any sense. But eventually, through paying attention to my body and talking to other calisthenics athletes, I realised it's normal (even if it is frustrating).

Loads of factors influence your calisthenics progression. Diet, genetics, sleep, hydration, consistency, your previous history of exercise, and loads more. Nonetheless, try not to get frustrated if you have weaker days than others. It takes your body time to adapt to calisthenics exercises. Just keep consistent with your training and you will get stronger over time. Exercises you used to struggle with will become your warmup, and you will feel so accomplished after sticking to it. So, don't give up! Keep going! Keep SMASHING IT MATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
