Deltarune Cover - Lost Girl

Happy holidays!

I have been working on this cover on-and-off (mostly off) since Feburary of this year, so that makes it around 10 months since I created the project.
Many projects I have tried to work on for that long end up unfinished and abandoned as I move on to other projects instead, or end up re-starting them. In this case though, I knew I wanted to finish this no matter how long it took, and me moving to a new PC that can't easily open my work-in-progress project files served as a good motivator to finish and release it.

I always liked how this cover sounded, but found it difficult to work on, because it required me to really be in the right headspace to get it to sound and feel right. Lost Girl is a very melanchonic, dreamy, and deeply emotional song and one that deserves a lot of respect, so I wanted to try to do it justice and reflect those feelings in this cover, while leaning even further into the dreamy undertones.
While I'm not entirely sure how succesful I was in that, I think I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, even though it's one of the shortest covers I've made in recent memory.

I think there is still more room for me to explore other ideas in a another cover of this song in the future, and if I had the ability to continue working on this more easily I probably would have made a few changes or tried to add another section, but given how long I've been working on it already, and it being December and nearing the holidays, I think this is a pretty good time to release it.

For the video, I didn't really spend too much time on it since thankfully Askywalker already ripped Noelle's room for The Spriters Resrouce which made it easy put together, and I didn't want to spend too much time adding additional details since it is shorter cover and I didn't want to burn myself out on trying to add more details than are necessary, burt rather focus on the atmosphere.
