This is our very first walking tour in Ubud in 2026. A steady afternoon rain welcomes us, but as we continue walking around town, the rain slowly eases, creating a calm and refreshing atmosphere across Ubud.

We start our walk from Astina Field, a public open space often used by locals for football and community activities. From here, we walk along Monkey Forest Street, where the street life continues despite the rain, leading us towards Ubud Palace.

At Ubud Palace, we take a moment to observe the peaceful and soothing atmosphere during the rain. The palace feels especially calm, with fewer crowds and a gentle sound of rain adding to the serenity of this historic place.

Next, we head into Karna Street, a narrow lane well known for its traditional art market. Even in wet weather, bargaining between vendors and tourists continues as part of everyday life in Ubud, creating a lively yet authentic scene.

We then reach Dewisita Street, which feels much quieter this afternoon, with minimal activity apart from passing vehicles. The same calm atmosphere continues along Hanoman Street, noticeably less busy than usual.

Our walk continues into Goutama Selatan Street, a street known for its peaceful and relaxing vibes, which later transforms into a romantic atmosphere at night. With very limited motorbike traffic, this street feels especially comfortable for pedestrians.

Further north, Goutama Street offers a similar atmosphere but with more activity. This area is more well-known and attracts many tourists walking around, looking for dinner spots, cafés, or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll.

This walk captures a gentle side of Ubud — calm, reflective, and perfect for slowing down during Bali’s rainy season.
