This month, our Asian Conservation Studio is collaborating with colleagues from the Smithsonian's Freer Gallery of Art on an elaborate treatment of Hanabusa Itchō’s “Death of Buddha” (1713). See them work on the large hanging scroll in the Asian Paintings Gallery. They’ll even answer your questions!
