Filmed on Sunday, August 25 2024, I drive around Ball State University campus in Muncie, Indiana to see what's going on.
In 1917, the Ball brothers acquired the abandoned Indiana Normal Institute and gifted the school and surrounding land to the State of Indiana. Early on, the school adopted the unofficial moniker of "Ball State" due to the close relationship between the Ball brothers and the school. The school went through several name changes, finally landing on Ball State University in 1965.
Notable alumni include late-night host David Letterman, former CEO of Papa John's Pizza John Schnatter, former CEO of Burberry Angela Ahrendts, and creator of the Garfield comic strip Jim Davis.
