“17th June — a date I will never forget.
I was at work when my brother called me. He said, ‘Abuis not doing well.’ I ran. I left everything behind and rushed to the hospital.
When I saw him… my heart sank.
My father — the strongest man I know — couldn’t see anything. His eyes were open, but he saw nothing.
We admitted him to Niba Hospital, Naharlagun but nothing changed. He was there for one and a half days. Then… we rushed him to Delhi.
And that’s when the nightmare truly began.
The doctors said his brain was blocked. The sugar levels were so high that the blood couldn’t reach his brain. He suffered from pre brain stroke.
If we had delayed even by a day or two… my father would have been paralyzed.He was hospitalized for an entire month. He fought. We fought with him.
He survived… but not without scars.
Today, my father doesn’t remember places, people… not even my name. Yes, he knows I’m his daughter… but he can’t call me by name anymore.And this… is the hardest thing I’ve ever lived through.”
As per Doctor Abu will get well but it will take time and Time really does heal a lot of things. So,
