Making a game in 7 days for a game jam is hard. Making a game in 7 days when you have overscoped massively and have planned a bigger project that what you will actually be able to do is even harder.

So last week I entered the 3rd BlackThornProd Game Jam where the theme was "Less is More". Now I will be honest, I wasn't going to enter BUT I just loved the theme, I thought it was a genius one and I had an idea straight away, to make a wholesome game where you try and make the people in your village happy, and as you make them happy, you yourself become happy and realise that having less spiritually means more. Now for this game jam, I only had 7 days ontop of streaming, and having University so I overscoped and nearly failed...so my tip for you. Plan a project for what you can manage, and plan properly! Importantly though, like I did with this jam, have fun, submit what you've got even if it's not great, show people what you made and get feedback!
