Record producer and mix engineer Andrew Scheps shares his thoughts on SpectraLayers 12. He explains how he first used Steinberg SpectraLayers on Atmos mix projects, harnessing it to unmix drums, for separating things into multitrack projects and stem separation. With the improved algorithms in SpectraLayers 12, Andrew describes how the unmix song process, creating a drums layer and unmixing it, splitting vocals, the unmix instrument process, noise reduction and more make it much better than anything else for working with complicated material.
