NAPS (https://www.napsva.org/), a 501c3 non profit based in Northumberland County, VA who is focused on the environmental health of our shorelines, and fishery. NAPS established a program in 2025 to remove derelict crab pots in off season in Northumberland County, Virginia. This will be done in conjunction and support of the commonwealth's program established by VIMS (w/ VMRC permit) (https://www.vims.edu/_infographics/de...)
This video is excerpt footage from a day out looking for, and collecting pots. Note, pots that are not crab pots not pulled, they are not part of the permit.
