Winter in the central highlands region of Victoria, Australia usually means fog, rain and cold weather. This year was no different, but it does produce some nice atmosphere that is quite different to the usual sunny shots that most people take.
Sit back and enjoy this video of restored Diesel Electric Rail Motor 63RM in operation at the scenic Daylesford Spa Country Railway over a number of Sunday mornings during June and July 2014.
This historic vehicle was built in 1930 at the VR's Newport Workshops and is based on the St Louis car company design with power equipment from Electro Motive. In the 1950's the Winton petrol engine was replaced with two Detroit Diesel 6-71 engines.
