The Slovenian Mountain Trail is a long distance hiking trail which travels from Maribor in the East of Slovenia all the way to the Adriatic Sea near a town called Ankaran on the short west coast. It is Europes first long distance hiking trail and traverses 614km across Slovenia's most mountainous regions, including the summits of many of its largest peaks.
The thru-hike took me 32 days with one additional rest day along the way.
It was a fantastic adventure; I met great people, sampled local food and saw some of the best of what Slovenia has to offer.
Follow me on this adventure in this daily vlog series; I plan to post 2 videos a week for the next 15 weeks so that all has been uploaded prior to the summer season. Enjoy!
