Throwing the frog all day during low light hours and overcast days can be the hot ticket to catch 10x more bass. The day started off with blue bird skys at the lake and I automatically thought the frog bite wouldn't be a key bait. But as the day went on, the clouds rolled up and I knew topwater could play a key role. So after throwing the megabass spark shad and worms for a good park of the day, I decided to tie on the frog. I was able to catch 5x more fish on the frog compared to the swimbait and texas rigged roboworm.
Sure, the weather is in the 90s and 100s but fish are still hungry. Go to bed early, catch that low light period and watch the weather for clouds. 2021 has been my best days of throwing the frog and whopper plopper.
