Governor Ron DeSantis labels CAIR, Muslim Brotherhood as foreign terrorist groups

Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has labeled the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Muslim Brotherhood as foreign terrorist organizations.

This designation was announced in a post on X on Monday.

According to the governor's order, effective immediately, it directs Florida state agencies to take all appropriate legal actions to prevent any unlawful activities associated with these organizations.

This includes denying contracts, employment, and funding to anyone who provides material support to CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood.
