Toyota Landcruiser FJ55, An icon here in Australia in the mid to late 1970's. I learnt to drive on a brand new model.. across the Simpson Desert no less :-)
As soon as RC4WD announced this licensed FJ55 body for sale... I had to have one. This is on an Injora 2speed chassis.. while not true to original leaf sprung 1:1 - the coil springs suit the lightweight lexan body.. Many 3d printed parts make up the modifications, including spare tyre under rear floor, towbar, cargo barrier, bullbar with jerry cans and holders and roof rack with ladder. The custom design has been drawn from the actual FJ55 that we (Dad) had bought and modified to cross the Simpson desert in 1976.. As a sixteen year old it was mostly my welding skills used to make the bullbar and roof rack on that original 1:1 .. My 16th scale model - this is my first real off road run in one of my favourite locations and time of day..
