पश्चिम बंगाल में वोटर लिस्ट को लेकर एक बड़ा संकट खड़ा हो गया है. चुनाव आयोग ने करीब 31.68 लाख 'अनमैप्ड' वोटर्स की पहचान की है जिन्हें 27 दिसंबर से शुरू होने वाली विशेष सुनवाई (SIR) में शामिल होना होगा. अगर आपका नाम 2002 की वोटर लिस्ट में परिवार के साथ लिंक नहीं है, तो आपको DM या SDO दफ्तर से नोटिस मिल सकता है. मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने इन माइक्रो-ऑब्जर्वर्स की भाषा पर सवाल उठाते हुए इसे आम लोगों के लिए बड़ी मुश्किल बताया है. दिल्ली से चुनाव आयोग की टीम इस पूरी प्रक्रिया की निगरानी करने कोलकाता पहुंच रही है.
The Election Commission of India is set to begin a massive 'Special Intensive Revision' (SIR) in West Bengal starting December 27. Around 31.68 lakh unmapped voters have been identified, and notices are being sent to 22 lakh more people. This process aims to link voters with their 2002 family records. CM Mamata Banerjee has raised concerns over the language barrier faced by micro-observers. A high-level team from Delhi, led by Principal Secretary S.B. Joshi, is arriving in Kolkata to monitor the situation and train 4,000 officials for this critical verification process.
