Days of December Day 13 | Use Your Leftover Paper Strips! Gingerbread Scrap Border

Welcome to Day 13 of Days of December at The Scrapping Studio! 🎄

Today we’re using the last leftovers from the Creative Memories Gingerbread Fun collection to create a scraps border that looks intentional, layered, and professionally finished — even though it’s made from trimmed strips and leftover pieces.

In this episode you’ll see exactly how I build a border step-by-step:

🏠 Using the Gingerbread House Punch as the anchor design
📐 Placing pieces at a 30-degree angle so imperfect cuts don’t show
✂️ Hand-trimming the bulky scraps first (then finishing with the 12-inch trimmer)
📏 Starting with a 2.5-inch base strip, then trimming clean edges (final width ends up about 2.25 inches)
🌊 Adding a decorative finish using the wave blade + layered cardstock strips (blue + Hot Fudge brown)
✅ A simple, repeatable method you can use to make borders for holiday pages, December Daily style albums, workshops, crop weekends, and gift albums
