While the fight between Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Baby had some nice moments, the actual climax and ultimate demise of GT's first major villain was a major fumble.
In this excerpt from my larger GT review video, I take a closer look at how poorly Baby's defeat was handled. This is supposed to be the big conclusion of the show's first major arc... but compared to similar climactic moments we've seen in Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, it feels completely unsatisfying. Yet another example of GT not quite understanding why Toriyama's original story worked so well. Baby getting vaporized is a cool looking shot... But everything that leads up to it is horrible! It's all wrong! I'll explain why, with comparisons to DBZ.
