Ney Nameh , The song of the Reed ( Masnavi Manavi )

Masnavi Manavi مثنوی معنوی ٫ is one of the most important works of the Persian poet and philosopher, Moulana. It consists of six books and around 25,000 verses that explore themes of divine love, spirituality, and the nature of the self. The Masnavi is often regarded as a spiritual guide, offering profound wisdom on how to connect with the divine and the inner truth.

The first part of the Masnavi Manavi is known as the Ney Nameh or The Song of the Reed. In this opening, Rumi uses the reed (ney) as a symbol of the soul’s longing for its divine source. The reed’s separation from the reedbed represents the soul’s longing for reunion with the Divine. The Ney Nameh introduces the central theme of the Masnavi — the soul’s yearning for union with God and its journey through love, pain, and transcendence.

المثنوي المعنوي هو أحد أعظم أعمال الشاعر والفيلسوف الفارسي مولانا جلال الدين الرومي. يتكون من ستة كتب وحوالي 25,000 بيت شعر، حيث يستكشف مواضيع مثل الحب الإلهي، والروحانية، وطبيعة الذات. يعتبر المثنوي المعنوي مرشدًا روحيًا، يقدم حكمة عميقة حول كيفية الاتصال بالإله والبحث عن الحقيقة الداخلية.

الجزء الأول من المثنوي المعنوي يعرف بـ نَايْ نَامَة أو أنشودة القصب. في هذا الافتتاح، يستخدم الرومي القصب (الناي) كرمز لحنين الروح إلى مصدرها الإلهي. انفصال القصب عن مكانه الأصلي يُمثل حنين الروح إلى الاتحاد مع الإله. نَايْ نَامَة يُقدّم الموضوع المركزي للمثنوي المعنوي — وهو اشتياق الروح للاتحاد مع الله ورحلتها عبر الحب، والألم، والتسامي.
