My wife and I did a stamina challenge by walking from Banff to Lake Louise via some of its more remote trails.
We parked in Lake Louise early Saturday morning, and took one of the first morning buses to Banff. To get back to our car, we walked back via Edith Path, 40 Mile Summit, Badger Pass, Pulsatilla Pass and the south leg of the Skoki loop.
Much of the trail is in forest, but our patience was rewarded with some spectacular scenery that few park visitors will see.
