Heathers is a cult l film from 1988, set in a 1989 fictional Ohio high school where it focuses on a clique of popular girls: Veronica, Heather Chandler, Heather Duke and Heather McNamara. The story was adapted into a musical in 2010, the most popular version of this musical is the Off-Broadway version from back in 2014.

The story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy, beautiful teenage misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High: the Heathers. But before she can get comfortable atop the high school food chain, Veronica falls in love with the dangerously sexy new kid J.D. When Heather Chandler, the Almighty, kicks her out of the group, Veronica decides to bite the bullet and kiss Heather’s aerobicized ass… but J.D. has another plan for that bullet.

The film was written by Daniel Waters and directed by Michael Lehmann; the movie stars Winona Ryder, Christian Slater and Shannen Doherty

I love Heathers and highly recommend it but please aware it has sensitive topics such as: teen suicide, murder, bullying, homophobia, and gun violence so it might not be your cup of tea.
