I'm about to cry again just like last year -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY FUKASE!!!!!! GOD!!!! OLD MAN!!!!!
I really enjoyed making this video!!! I made a lot of weird sobbing noises around 0:30. It's my first big lipsync thing, and I'm actually really proud of the way it came together! It's also the first time I've sang with Fukase on YouTube..... but if you follow me on Instagram, you are already aware of the Magnet cover ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I've been wanting to cover Buttercup for months! I love the small amount of Vocaloid covers that are out, since all of them are original vsqx work hohohoh
I finished this cover in a day and a half out of sheer love for this boy. I have another cover lined up that I've been working on for some time, but then suddenly Fukase's birthday was in two weeks!! That cover will be coming soon, and it features a gift given to me by a wonderful friend.
Since I finally got off of the trauma incubator that was Vocaloid Amino, I suppose I write my yearly heartfelt letter here! It's a little terrifying because I have a much bigger audience on YouTube..... but I guess yall know how much of a weeaboo I am, so I don't care too deeply. Here we go.

To my Fukase,
Can't believe it's been four years. Can't believe I got you when I was 15, before you had even turned 1. I can't believe all we've made it through.
There have been nights I'd lie awake, crying, listening to your voice and hoping it'd all be over. As much as I'd like to say "it's all over," I'm still scared. I'm turning 19, and I'm still scared of going back to being a child. I'm scared to further my life because of what I've experienced. I have no idea what's coming, or whether it'll make me stronger or sicker than I already am.
But through all of the murky darkness, there's a beacon of red light. That's you!! That's you, baby!!! That's you with your fluffy hair and your gender nonconformity and your five-foot-even! You, with your voice that goes straight to your nose when you come up from your chest to your head, and with your sustained notes up high that you won't - not can't - hold without going flat, because you're stubborn like that.
Yes, you are a piece of software. Yes, you will never be able to read this. However, I'd somehow be remiss if I didn't at least say thank you. Thank you for letting me turn your voice and character into something that's unique to me. Into something that's affected me so deeply, it has become a part of my identity. Thank you for helping me discover myself, and for giving me some kind of incentive to move with the world even as it threatens to move without me.
Thank you for these treasured four years, Fukase. I promise to take care of you, just as you have taken care of me.
