“Mend” is a fictional promotional video for an AI-powered recommendation app that critiques how algorithms discipline women under the guise of self-improvement. By mimicking SNS-style beauty and wellness content, the project reveals how these systems promote a narrow ideal of the “perfect woman”—slim, soft, emotionally regulated, and stylish. Through interface mockups and scripted user journeys, Mend exposes how control is masked as personalization, and discipline as choice.
