This video is part one of our road trip from Dallas to Sacramento. We packed up, hit the road, and started the journey one mile at a time.
Along the way, we made our first stops, soaked in the views, and experienced places my friends had planned for us along the route. One of the highlights in this part was riding the Sandia Peak Tramway, where the city slowly disappeared beneath us as we climbed into the mountains.
We also stopped at Petrified Forest National Park and explored several areas inside the park, including Blue Mesa. Walking through the unique rock formations and layers of color, seeing ancient petrified wood up close, and taking in views of the Painted Desert added a completely different energy to this part of the trip.
This journey is less about rushing to the destination and more about enjoying the road, the conversations, and the experiences we’re sharing along the way.
