Building an Art Habit: My 262 Days Sketchbook Tour (May-Dec 2024)

Join me for a sketchbook tour of my 262 Art Days project — a personal challenge that changed my artistic practice in 2024! This is part 2 of 262 ArT Days and showcases my daily drawings from May through December, revealing my growth and creative journey.

The structure of the challenge was simple: each weekday had a prompt to draw (with changing subjects between Food, Animals, Still Life, People and Scenery) which creates variety while maintaining consistency. I intentionally took weekends off because I believe rest is as important as practice.

Whether you're looking to establish your own creative habit or simply curious about the power of consistent practice, this sketchbook journey demonstrates that it's possible to build an art habit and improve your drawing skills if you commit in showing up for your art!
