Basant Panchami has been celebrated at the shrine of the Sufi saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia (R.A) for the last 717 years. This beautiful custom began when Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia (R.A) lost his beloved nephew Hazrat Taqiuddin Nooh (R.A), and his disciples brought Basant flowers to bring a smile to his face. Since then, the tradition has continued with love, music, and remembrance.
