About Maharaja: H.H. Śrīpāda Bhakti Vikāsa Swāmī, born in Britain in 1957, joined ISKCON in London in 1975 and became a disciple of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda. After intensive distribution of Vedic literature in India and pioneering efforts to preach the message of Bhagavad-gītā in Bangladesh, Thailand, Burma, and Malaysia, he accepted sannyāsa in 1989. He now guides more than 4,000 dedicated disciples across the globe. And is followed by more than 350,000 people on social media.

The author of over 20 books—with more than 2.3 million copies in print and translations in over 20 languages—his teachings in English, Hindi, and Bengali have reached millions worldwide. Uncompromising and unapologetically traditional, he is fearless in speech, firmly grounded in śāstra, and never dilutes truth for popularity, uniting intellectual rigor with deep spiritual authority. His compassion is expressed through clarity, correction, and courage, as he speaks not to please the masses, but to awaken them.
