Scar’s legacy in The Lion King franchise can be REALLY confusing at times. While Kovu was his heir, the movie never outright claims that Scar had any actual children. That being said, the fact that he had been King of the Pride Lands for a year or more means it would have been odd for him to not have had ANY children at all.
