Spirit Halloween MIT Animatronic Animated Prop Triggers 2011-2014

MIT stands for Multiple Item Triggers and were smaller animated triggers that trigger a larger prop once the trigger completes its spiel. They were Spirit exclusives and sold by Spirit for the 2011-2014 seasons only. They were produced by Gemmy and Tekky.
The Trigger could be used as a standalone small prop or with any MIT compatible prop. As a standalone, you activate the trigger, it does it spiel and thats it. As an MIT, it does its spiel and near the end of the spiel, it activates the main MIT prop it is hooked to.
The MIT plug/jack is a 3 pin, but the factory MIT cable uses only 2 wires. The center pin is vacant, no wire to the center pins at all. The factory MIT cords wire color are Black with a white dotted line thru it and solid Black. After a lot of testing as there is no information on them that I could find, what happens is that when the MIT trigger activates, it send around +5vdc out to the main prop to activate it. The Black with white dots wire is + and the solid black wire is negative. The + voltage time or pulse lasts for approximately one second only.
Any other prop that I know of the Try-Me or Footswitch activator trigger ties the 2 wires coming out of the prop together. With those, the 2 wires being connected or tied together puts a ground on the props control board to trigger it. With MIT's, its totally the opposite. The MIT sends voltage to the prop to trigger it. Hence, MIT's are not compatible at all with any non MIT prop. There were only 4 MIT triggers produced and released. 3 are in the video, the High Voltage Box which is the one with the jumpscare opening door, the First Aid Kit which is not seen in the vid. It is a remake and reskin of the High Voltage Box and yes, has the jumpscare opening door. The 3rd is the 'Electric Box' which is the one on the left, which lights up and makes sounds only and the TNT Box.

There was an unreleased large life size MIT trigger for the John Doe prop. The unreleased trigger was called the Mad Scientist. This would have really set off the kinda lame John Doe prop.
Also back in 2011, there was a Spirit prop named Ghostface from Scream that came with a Scream Phone accessory. It worked as a Multi prop trigger but was not MIT compatible. The prop sensor would make the phone ring and when the phone was picked up, the prop would go thru its Spiel.
I personally wish Spirit did more stuff like this, but now in 2023, they have reverted more to quick jumpscares over interactive props and props with longer spiels.
2024 update, its not an MIT but Spirit does have a Coin Switch activation button that goes with their carnival theme. It looks like a big Insert Coin, like on a claw machine, but you really don't insert a coin, you push the button on top and then it activates the prop just like a step pad or try me button.
